Dr Sally Cohen is an experienced Gynaecologist and Obstetrician currently practicing at the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Dr Sally Cohen is an experienced obstetrician, gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgeon with a special interest in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery and management of endometriosis. She is passionate about the delivery of accessible, high-quality and evidence-based care to women in managing the various gynaecological problems that develop throughout the different ages and stages of a women’s life.
She is a Senior Medical Officer at Gold Coast University Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital working with multidisciplinary teams in general and high-risk obstetrics, complex endometriosis surgery, early pregnancy complications, general gynaecological bleeding and pain issues and paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. She is an active contributor to registrar, medical student and GP training.
Dr Cohen holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society and the Australasian Menopausal Society.
Her private practice in Southport and Spring Hill focuses on helping and supporting women of all ages through the various gynaecological problems that arise throughout a woman’s life and has a holistic and compassionate approach to women’s healthcare.
She is fluent in French having studied and worked in Paris for many years and is able to provide consultations in French.
Dr Cohen provides the highest standard of care to women in all stages of their lives and is able to offer minimally invasive techniques for most gynaecological procedures with a particular interest in:
Dr Cohen holds a Staff Specialist position at the Gold Coast University Hospital where she practices both obstetrics and gynaecology and enjoys teaching registrars and medical students.
In addition, she regularly consults and operates at the Gold Coast Private Hospital and consults at Athol Place in Brisbane. She will ensure each patient’s options are well considered and their unique needs and personal circumstances are met.
